Transfer
either from Guatemala City, Antigua or Lake Atitlan to Guatemala
City airport, to catch a late afternoon flight to Flores, where
you will be met and taken to the wonderful family-run hotel,
in the heart of the jungle. |

Transfer
on to the Tikal National Park, a protected area some 370 square
kilometers situated on the edge of the Mayan biosphere reserve.
It is home to hundreds of species including spider monkeys, toucans
and parakeets. Enjoy a guided tour of the mystical, magnificent
ruins of the lost Mayan world. |

After
lunch, either return to the Park to investigate further, or head
back to the hotel for a leisurely afternoon by the pool. |

to Flores to fly back to Guatemala City. |

Note:
There
are many variations of the trip. You could fly up on day one
very early in the morning, and return the following night although
we consider this to be very tiring. You might also decide to
stay on longer to explore some of the other Mayan archaeological
sites in the Peten area. Or you might want to fly up one way,
and continue your journey overland from Flores. Please ask us
for further details |
